Karen was a panelist at the 2011 American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law, Employee Rights and Responsibilities Committee meeting, in March 2011 where she discussed issues of state immigration law. She is also the co-author of "Personal Social Media Use Raises Employment Issues", which appeared in the Winter 2011 issue of the American Bar Association's Section of Labor and Employment Newsletter. Karen is a co-founder of the NELA/NY New Lawyers Committee, where she is currently serving as co-chair and is a Student Outreach Coordinator for the American Bar Association, Section of Labor and Employment Law. After receiving her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Karen completed a Post-Graduate Public Service Fellowship with the New York District Office of the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Since concluding the fellowship, Karen has been an associate with Pedowitz & Meister, with a focus on employment law matters.
